I chose the image of Professor Stephen Hawking as my tattoo design because he is a leading cosmologist who has done much to increase our understanding of the age and structure of the universe. Like Copernicus and Newton before him, Professor Hawking has enabled us with a model in which to better understand philosophical and scientific problems that have puzzled mankind for centuries. There is also something intrinsically cool and interesting about his face and so I would urge everyone to pay homage to Professor Hawking by having a portrait of him applied to their arm or neck by a real tattooist.
